Reacting to Mind-Bending Freestyle Magic Harry Mack ft Chris Mike Magic

Magic and freestyle rap turn out to be a very entertaining combination. In this video, Chris Mike performs tricks while Harry Mack describes what is happening in improvised rhymes.

Before the rap even begins, Chris presents a prediction tied to Harry's story about arriving late for his first day of preschool. Watching the reveal, I have no idea how he has done it.

Two performances happening together

Once the music starts, money, coins, cards, and other props give Harry a continuous stream of things to respond to. Chris keeps moving from one effect to another, and Harry keeps finding a way to follow.

It makes me imagine the two of them doing a Vegas act together. The magic would already give an audience something to watch; Harry adds another performance happening alongside it.

When the first beat ends, they decide to keep going with another. I am excited to realize there is still more of the collaboration left.

Trying to work it out without losing the fun

I do make guesses about a few effects. During the coin sequence, I wonder whether different-looking sides could explain part of what I am seeing. That is a guess, and it does not explain the appearances and disappearances.

I also recognize a light effect from tricks I have seen before. Recognizing something does not stop me from enjoying the presentation.

What impresses me most at the end is how well the two stay together. It feels as though they could have planned a show, even though they describe themselves as responding in the moment.

The performance leaves me interested in watching more magic reactions too. I close by asking viewers which magicians they enjoy and who else I should check out.
