Installing iBoard Running Boards On My 2020 Silverado 2500HD
Today we’ll be installing iBoard Running Boards on my 2020 Silverado 2500HD! Back in June, I purchased a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT to tow my new fifth wheel! It didn’t take long for me to decide to add one of my first upgrades to my truck and that upgrade was running boards.
I started researching local dealerships and installation services to see what was going to be the best route but those turned out to be pretty costly. So I took to Amazon and YouTube to see if there was a more affordable alternative out there and something I could possibly install myself. As it turns out, there were plenty of options at a decent price and the installation was pretty straightforward and easy, so I went ahead and place my order on Amazon.
As you can see in the video, there are only a handful of parts and the installation was super easy, it only took about an hour to install both running boards. The ones that I purchased were available in 4, 5, and 6-inch options and I opted for the 6-inch. When I was doing comparisons, something else that was important for me was a backplate on the running boards as I didn’t want there to be any chance of my foot slipping through the gap between the truck and the running board, especially in wet weather conditions.
3 months later, I’m really happy with the selection I made, and I’m glad I chose the 6-inch because I wear a size 11.5 shoes, haha, so the more space to step up, the better!
If you’re interested in picking these up for your truck, you can find them at the link below. However, don’t rely on the link to be the correct fit for your truck or vehicle. Make sure to read the specs and also use Amazon’s vehicle profile to make sure you chose something that will fit your make and model correctly. You can get them here.
