May The 4th Be With You

Happy May the 4th, aka Star Wars Day!

Believe it or not, the saying “May The 4th Be With You” can be traced all the way back to 1979 when author Alan Arnold was documenting the making of "The Empire Strikes Back" for Lucas Films. It’s now considered the official Star Wars Holiday and Star Wars fans worldwide partake in this day by dressing up as their favorite character, or watching their favorite Star Wars movie, and some even go to the lengths of hosting Star Wars themed parties!!

As someone who grew up with Star Wars from early childhood, and having the original action figures, I’ve always held a special appreciation and fandom for Star Wars and Star Wars culture. As many of you already know, I’m a photographer, and a few years back I also decided to partake in the fun, and I did a series of Star Wars themed photoshoots with a handful of lovely ladies. Before you start commenting that the outfits and costumes are not Cosplay worthy, save your breath, because that wasn’t my goal for these photoshoots. I simply wanted to do something fun, cute and even a little bit sexy, but with a little bit of Star Wars infused.

At the time of shooting this series, my photography was being featured on a local radio show here in Houston. Shoutout to Rod Ryan and his team, The Rod Ryan Morning Show on 94.5 The Buzz, for featuring this series back then! And also for featuring several other series from my photography over the years.

If any of you follow my photography closely, then you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. This is for a combination of reasons, firstly is because my home and studio took on some damage from Harvey in late 2017, and I’m FINALLY getting things back to normal. Secondly is because I simply haven’t had the time, between projects on the house and studio, and also putting more time into YouTube, it’s been tough to squeeze in some photoshoots. With that being said, now that things are getting back to normal, I do plan to start shooting a lot more again. So if I’ve shot with you in the past and you’d like to shoot again, you know how to reach me. If we’ve never shot before and you’re interested, you can contact me here.

I didn’t intend for this VLOG/BLOG to be a recap or update but it looks like that’s what it’s turned into, sorry!

If you aren’t already SUBSCRIBED to my YouTube Channel, please do so. Also feel free to follow me on any or all of my other social media, which is all listed below. Curious to know what cameras and gear I used for these shoots? I’ve listed all that below as well, but you can always send me a message or post a comment below if you have additional questions.

Also thanks to all the lovely ladies in the photos, you can see some of my other BLOG’s about them here:
